👋 Hi ElixirConf
Read why I'm sponsoring

Support for startups
and small teams

I'm Alex, an experienced Founder and CTO. I help startups and non-technical founders, on a fractional or interim basis.

If you're facing important tech issues but you aren't ready to hire a full-time CTO, please get in touch.

Subject: New team

Hey Alex,

We're starting a new product team to launch "project Anvil". I'd like some help with the hiring plan, and need an interim lead who can coach the more junior devs.

Have you got 15 mins for a chat?

Thanks, Sam

CEO of Acme Startup Ltd.

Huh? What's this got to do with ElixirConf?

You might be seeing this page because my logo appeared as a sponsor of ElixirConf EU 2024.

I'm not repping a product or looking for work. I'm just this guy, you know?

There was some training I really wanted to attend this year. When I heard it might not go ahead (due to not filling 100%), the team I'm with covered the final seats.

The organisers kindly offered a sponsor slot in return. I was lucky to have someone paying for me, but it's currently a Ruby team and they didn't need their logo putting up. So here I am!

Though I will tell you about my soundcloud a small chatgroup that I host. It's for senior developers who want to discuss the challenges of smaller companies and startup teams.

We chat about processes which work at smaller scale, how to achieve quality in scrappy situations, how to hire multi-functional people, that sort of thing.

It's supportive and welcoming to people of all backgrounds, and we have "friendly but professional" conduct policy.

If you're interested in joining, or if you just want to say hi at the confererence, you can find my email and photo on the about page.
